Where the application stands

Submitted. Our application, curriculum, policies, and facility documentation have been prepared to the state's requirements and submitted for review.
Under review. The Department of Community Health reviews applications on its own timeline. We do not control it and we will not guess at it publicly.
What happens when approval is granted. Everyone on the interest list hears first, before we announce it anywhere else. We will publish class dates, costs, and an enrollment process at that point — not before.
What happens if it isn't. We will tell you that too, and we will point you toward approved programs in the area. You will not be left wondering.

Blended learning track
40 hours of self-paced online theory delivered through our learning platform, plus 34 hours of in-person skills lab and 24 hours of supervised clinical. The theory portion is self-paced; lab and clinical are always in person.
Under both tracks, all program hours must be completed before a Certificate of Completion is issued.
Curriculum
Built to Georgia's federal and state core curriculum for nurse aide training, and aligned page by page to Hartman's Nursing Assistant Care: The Basics, 6th edition.
Content areas include the role and responsibilities of the nurse aide; communication and interpersonal skills; infection control and standard precautions; safety and emergency procedures; residents' rights and dignity; recognizing and reporting abuse, neglect, and misappropriation; personal care and activities of daily living; vital signs and measurement; safe transfers, positioning, and body mechanics; nutrition and hydration; elimination and continence care; care of residents with cognitive change and dementia; and end-of-life care.
Skills lab
Every state-tested skill practiced to competency on equipment, with instructor feedback and individual checkoff before clinical.
Assessment
Module quizzes and chapter tests throughout, with a comprehensive final examination. Written assessments require a minimum score of 80 percent. Skills evaluations require 100 percent — every step, every time, because that is the standard the exam and the bedside both hold you to.
Supervised clinical
24 hours of direct resident care in a licensed facility under the supervision of a registered nurse instructor.

No healthcare experience is required.
What you can get ready now
Whatever happens with the timeline, these requirements will apply. Getting them handled early means you are ready to move when the program opens.
- Valid government-issued photo ID.
- Criminal background check.
- Felony convictions and offenses involving violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation, or crimes against a person or child may disqualify a candidate. If you are unsure how your record affects your eligibility, call us — this is a more common question than people expect, and it is better answered early than after you have paid for a program.
- Proof of high school graduation or the equivalent.
- A diploma, official transcript, GED, or a college transcript showing two years of credit toward a four-year degree.
- Negative TB screening.
- PPD or QuantiFERON.
Background clearance and TB documentation must be complete before any clinical rotation.
While you wait — programs we offer today
Our nurse aide program is pending, but our other training is running now. Several of these are useful stepping stones, and several are things employers ask for.
American Heart Association certification
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid, taught by AHA-certified instructors with official AHA eCards on successful completion. A current BLS card is worth having before you start any clinical program.
Medication assistance training
For unlicensed staff in personal care homes who assist residents with medications under supervision.
NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN review
Structured exam preparation for candidates sitting the licensure exam or returning to practice.
Continuing education (CEUs)
For licensed professionals, online or at your facility.

Not yet. Our application is pending review by the Georgia Department of Community Health. We will say so clearly on this page the moment that changes, and we will not describe the program as approved before then. If another program tells you it is approved, ask for the approval number and verify it — this matters more than almost anything else in choosing a program.
No. We are not accepting enrollment, payment, deposits, or application fees, and we will not ask you for any until the program is approved. Joining the interest list costs nothing and reserves nothing — it simply means you hear first.
We do not know, and we would rather say that than invent a date. The review timeline is set by the state. Everyone on the interest list will be notified as soon as we have an answer.
Tuition, materials, and fees will be published when the program is approved. We are not quoting prices for a program we cannot yet enroll you in.
Program hours count toward Georgia CNA certification only when they are completed in a state-approved program. That is precisely why we are not enrolling anyone yet.
You complete a state-approved nurse aide training program, then pass the competency examination — administered by Credentia under contract with the Department of Community Health — which has a written portion and a skills portion. Passing candidates are listed on the Georgia Nurse Aide Registry, maintained by Alliant Health Solutions.
A CNA provides direct personal care. A Medication Aide has completed additional training to assist residents with medications under supervision. Medication Aide training generally builds on CNA certification.
Many personal care homes and skilled nursing facilities do sponsor staff through certification. Have your administrator contact us — we work with facilities directly, and we can talk about it now even though enrollment is not open.
